    How was The MAX`s Show this year?

    Hi All
    I wish could go there,but i am is broke like a church rat as they say over here.
    Any of you was there and grapped some nice items?

    Was the Max show filled up with collectors or was it empty like doomsday has began?
    Please post some pithure if you have.

    Went there yesterday for the first time ever. I got there twenty minutes after it opened and I had to park pretty far away because of all of the cars that were already there. I don't have other MAX shows to compare it to but alot of the times I had to let others pass in the aisles because it was so crowded. Didn't look like doomsday to me.

          There were many SS fakes as usual. The best deal I saw was on Thursday's dealer day. It appeared to be a good Erel White Captains Visor, I believe the asking price was $2300. It was gone by Friday. I didn't buy anything but I did sell a Panzer NCO Visor.

            The guys at the table behind us didn't show up until Friday afternoon. I kept watching an EM SS Panzer M43 under the table. When I asked the guy about it, he said they hadn't decided whether or not they were going to sell it. Just as we were packing to leave on Saturday afternoon, he pulled it out from under the table. He was kind enough to let me take it around the hall since cloth is out of my league and it received a thumbs up. I thought the guy was very fair on his price, so it came home with me.

            Unfortunately, after dragging my camera all the way to Pittsburgh, I shot one photo before the battery died, and I didn't bring my charger. While I can't speak for headgear in general, I came away with more than I expected. To me, the real advantage of a show is the availability of knowledgeable people around when you want to purchase something outside your comfort zone.
